How much will I pay?

Some of our standard domestic/residential labour* charges:

*Labour refers to the amount of time spent by us carrying out work, including all reasonable time sourcing and obtaining non-stocked materials, which will be charged in accordance with our hourly rate .  

  • Landlords Gas Safety Record (up to two appliances per address) £90 plus £18 VAT = £108.00
  • Condensing, System or Combination Boiler Service £90 plus £18 VAT = £108.00
  • Boiler Service and Landlords Gas Safety Record combined £160.00 plus £32.00 VAT = £192.00
  • The older type of open-flued appliances:  i.e open flue boilers or a gas fire service will be from £135 plus £27 VAT = £162.00


The following work is charged per hour up to the first hour, then at half hour intervals eg. 1 hr 20mins will be charged for 1.5 hrs, 1hr 45mins will be charged at 2 hrs.

  • Attending to boiler breakdowns & fault finding - £90 per hour plus £18 VAT = £108.00
  • Other plumbing works - £90 per hour plus £18 VAT = £108.00
  • The current average cost for labour only - for installing a new boiler is £1000 to £1500 plus VAT
  • The average cost for labour only for stripping out the old and installing a complete standard size new bathroom (bath or shower, W.C, basin vanity, mirror/ mirror unit, towel rail/radiator, Pipework, Lighting, Painting, Floor and Wall tiling is £5000 plus VAT 

    Commercial, Business charges start from £180 per hour plus VAT for labour. 
    (Over the hour, the charges are calculated half hourly)


EMERGENCY RATES and OUT OF HOURS RATES for domestic/residential work - Labour: £250 plus £50 VAT = £300.00 MIN CHARGE per hour.


PARKING & CONGESTION CHARGES - If parking and/or congestion charges has to be paid for by us when making a visit to your property at your request, then this will be added to the invoice, plus VAT at 20%.


*The charges above are for LABOUR only. Any materials or parts needed will be will be charged for separately.  We add a minimum mark up of 20% on appliances, parts and materials that we supply.

**We have a NO call-out charge policy - we do not charge a separate fee for a call-out, we only charge our hourly rate, plus materials, parts, disposables etc. plus VAT.

Payment Terms:
The majority of work, unless an emergency visit, will require a 50% deposit of the estimated total price to be paid at the time of booking.

You are at liberty to purchase the parts and/or materials yourself (in which case we can take no responsibility for their suitability, quality, guarantee etc.)  and we will just charge for our labour.

Payment must be made in full on the day of the completion of the work (or in stages as agreed in advance) by either BACS or direct transfer into our account or cash to the engineer upon receipt of invoice.
