How does a progressive tap work?
A progressive cartridge is where you turn the control lever and this starts the flow cold, the further you turn the handle the warmer the temperature becomes until you get to the hot. Very stylish and simple to use, also has the benefit of being energy efficient as you don't demand any hot water from the boiler until turned far enough in to warm/hot.
